We are very excited to announce that, in the May 2026 session results of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, our students achieved an average of 30.48 points out of 45, placing them close to the worldwide average for the Diploma Programme, which was 30.88 points. In addition, our academic results are complemented by a track record of excellent results in the PAU, official language certifications and other national and international qualifications.

These results reflect the combined efforts of our students, families and teaching team, as well as an educational model that seeks to develop not only knowledge, but also critical thinking, autonomy, creativity and the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly global world.

Highlights of El Altillo International School’s IB results

In the May 2026 session, El Altillo International School achieved an average of 30.48 points out of 45 in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, compared with a worldwide average of 30.88 points.

A total of 23 students took part in this session and 96% obtained the Diploma, while 91% achieved the bilingual Diploma.

Beyond the overall average, our results reflect the effort and perseverance of each student throughout their academic journey. In our educational community, we understand the International Baccalaureate as an opportunity for students to develop a broad perspective on the world and learn to analyse, research and question critically.

These results add to other indicators of our academic performance. El Altillo International School has a 100% pass rate in the PAU, with a maximum score of 13.9 out of 14 in Selectividad, 55% of students achieving 11 points or more and 40% of students achieving more than 12 points.

In addition, our students continue to stand out in international language certifications. In fact, in 2026 we achieved 202 official DELF diplomas and 304 official English certifications, with 29% of the cohort reaching a C2 level.

An international education from the early years

At El Altillo International School, we accompany our students from 1 to 18 years old, combining the Spanish National Curriculum with different international programmes, including the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the International Baccalaureate, through the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Cádiz.

Our aim is to provide a coherent educational experience throughout the different stages, in which students can progressively develop the skills and knowledge they will need to continue learning and face the challenges of a globalised world.

The international dimension is also part of our daily life. That is why we are committed to a trilingual curriculum in Spanish, English and French, with native-speaking teachers and official certifications that allow our students to develop their confidence to communicate in different languages and understand other cultures.

Since we were authorised as an International Baccalaureate World School in 2016, we have continued to consolidate our international offering and expand the opportunities we provide to our students.

Innovation to prepare our students for the future

At El Altillo International School, we believe that a quality education must evolve at the same pace as the world. That is why innovation is part of our educational offering.

Our students develop STEAM skills and have access to programming programmes and our Fab Lab, a digital fabrication space equipped with tools such as 3D printers and laser cutters, which encourages creativity, experimentation and problem-solving.

We also incorporate initiatives such as public speaking and chess into our educational offering, helping our students develop communication skills, logical thinking, concentration and decision-making.

For us, innovation does not simply mean incorporating new technologies, but offering students opportunities to create, research, collaborate and find solutions to real-world problems.
